Petite Messe Solennelle comes to life as a new, visually rich and multisensory concert production that delights all the senses.
Students from three Northern music universities join forces to bring this 19th-century sacred music masterpiece to the stage as a multidisciplinary experience. The performance combines traditional sacred music with modern movement and visual expression – resulting in something both familiar and entirely new.
On stage, you will see an ensemble of students from Oulu University of Applied Sciences, alongside an international group of soloists consisting of students and alumni from Oamk, Piteå (LTU), and Tromsø (UiT). The accompaniment is provided by two pianists and a harmonium.
This performance offers a unique experience for all lovers of classical and sacred music – transforming a traditional mass into an immersive and thought-provoking whole.
