Northern Electric Light Aviation Conference

The event brings together aviation and technology experts from Northern Finland to discuss the opportunities, regional impacts, and emerging solutions in electric light aviation. The goal is to foster networking, share expertise, and accelerate the development of smart and sustainable aviation tailored to the conditions of Northern Finland.
The event will be held at the Tellus Stage of the University of Oulu. Admission is free, but places are limited. So please register as soon as possible.

Cecilia Holmlund from Skellefteå’s Green Flight Academy will share insights from their experience in pilot training, where electric aircraft have been used for several years in the basic phase of commercial pilot training.
Uwe Nortmann, an experienced professional and recreational pilot, has served as a test pilot for Solar Elektra for several years. In the event, Uwe will share insights from working on the development of electric aircraft.
Jari Lyytinen from Traficom will provide an overview of the current regulatory landscape and approval processes related to electric aviation, as well as discuss electric aircraft both now and in the near future.

In addition, the presentations will introduce the latest electric aviation technologies and highlight current development projects at regional airfields. We will also hear about the latest news about SAAC and SÄIHKE projects.
The event ends at 18.00.
