Welcome to explore STARTS Lab Oulu – the hybrid studio for virtual content production and technological experimentation at Oulu University of Applied Sciences’ Linnanmaa campus.

STARTS Lab Oulu brings together art, technology, and science. The space offers opportunities to develop and test immersive content, virtual sets, and digital twins. The studio features the latest AR and VR solutions, virtual film production tools, and innovations in digital storytelling.

The opening events will be held as follows:

• Group 1: Fri 29 Aug, 9:00–11:00

• Group 2: Fri 29 Aug, 13:00–15:00

• Group 3 (Oamk staff): Fri 5 Sep, 9:00–11:00

Venue: STARTS Lab Oulu, room 7A209, Linnanmaa

During the opening, you will have the chance to see the studio’s technical equipment, including a LED video wall designed for film production, a Dolby Atmos sound system, AR/VR headsets, and a computer-controlled LED lighting system. You will also hear examples of how the facility supports Oamk’s education, research, and the development work of local businesses.
