AVARA Art & Tech is a networking and co-creation event at the intersection of art and technology. This international event explores themes that bring together emerging technologies and artistic expertise across the cultural and creative sectors.

The 2026 AVARA Art & Tech <3 Space takes place on 18–20 November at Hotel Lasaretti as part of the Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture programme. The intriguingly open-ended theme explores space in physical, virtual and shared forms, while considering how movement, sound, stories, technology and the environment shape the spaces we create and experience.

The programme includes keynotes, discussions, workshops, artistic content and demonstrations. AVARA creates opportunities to exchange ideas, experiment and connect across disciplines, while asking who designs the spaces we share and what responsibilities come with shaping them.

The content of the event is primarily in English, unless stated otherwise in the program.

Participation in the AVARA event is free of charge, but lunch at Art Hotel Lasaretti is at your own expense (14,00 €). Coffee and tea will be provided for the seminar participants.
